Grizzly Boys Bring Home CIF Title!

Teamwork and defense help Los Osos overcome first half deficit

In a beautiful day at the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine, the first half play of the Grizzlies was anything but. After the first two quarters of Saturday’s CIF Championship Game, the Los Osos boys found themselves down 7-4. However, momentum began to swing in our boys favor as Los Osos scored the first two goals of the second half to pull within one, then went on a four goal run to all but clinch the game, holding top-seeded Righetti scoreless for over nine minutes of play after the Warriors took an 8-6 lead midway through the third quarter. The Grizzlies showed their moxie in the final 14 minutes of the game, holding Righetti to lone goals in each of the last two frames to claim an 11-9 victory, bringing home Los Osos’ second boys CIF title. Congratulations gentleman! We are all very proud of what you have accomplished!
